Arlington Sports Conditioning - Pete Leibman

Faster. Stronger. Fitter.

ASC Athlete Profile: Will Bennett

Name: Will Bennett

Birthday: July 14

Hometown: Basking Ridge, NJ

What is your athletic background? Did you play any sports growing up?

“I played soccer, little league baseball, and basketball throughout my childhood. My favorite of those was soccer, and I played defense and midfield.”

When did you attend your first workout with Arlington Sports Conditioning, and how did you first learn about the group?

“My first workout was in August 2022, and it was an incredibly hot Thursday evening workout so it was especially tough. I found out about the class by being added to the Facebook Group by my girlfriend who heard about it from a mutual friend of the illustrious ASC member Tucker Howard.”

What is your proudest athletic accomplishment, and why?

“Running the Cherry Blossom 10-Miler in April. It was the second long distance race I’d ever done and the longest distance I have ever run in my entire life. At the end, I felt l could keep running for a while longer so that was a great feeling to finish the race on.”

What is your favorite exercise(s)?

“Bleachers! I always ask for bleachers on the Saturday morning and now Wednesday morning ASC Fast workouts because I enjoy the challenge of doing them in our group.”

What is your favorite workout song or musical artist?

“I’m a metal-head at heart so my ‘Running/Gym’ playlist on Spotify is full of metal and hardcore music. My favorite artist to workout to would be Judas Priest, and my favorite song of theirs to workout to would be ‘Painkiller.’ The speed and intensity of that song never stop, so it keeps you amped up through any workout.”

What is your favorite sports team?

“The New York Football Giants are my favorite sports team, followed by the Washington Capitals.”

Who is your favorite athlete?

“At the current moment, Giannis Antetokounmpo. His general humble, positive demeanor is a great influence in sports. His recent speech on the steps to success amidst a season that most people would consider a failure was especially inspiring.”

Other than working out, how else do you like to spend your free time?

“I’m a big video gamer, so I love to play video games in my spare time, especially any kind of RPG or shooter games. I also enjoy reading, watching movies and sports, going to stand up comedy shows, and going to music concerts.”

What do you like best about Arlington Sports Conditioning? What are the biggest benefits that you have experienced as a member?

“The people that I have met through the classes. Everyone is welcoming and friendly, and that makes it even easier to make this a regular part of my weekly routine. Getting to become fitter and healthier while making friends has been the biggest benefit for me.”

What advice would you offer to new or prospective members of Arlington Sports Conditioning?

“Keep coming to the classes. They get easier the more that you go, but you also get to know the great people in the ASC group by coming to the classes more often.”
