Faster. Stronger. Fitter.

Why You Should Never Use Fitness Machines

One of the key ways that ASC is different from other workout programs is that we don’t use any fitness machines. We never use treadmills, stationary bikes, rowers, ellipticals, or strength training machines.

This is not only because of where we train. Even if we worked out in a gym stocked with fitness machines, we would never use any of them.

Using free weights and bodyweight movements is a far superior way to train. Here are three reasons why you should not use any fitness machines:

1.Machines don’t improve your athleticism.

Machines might help you burn calories, but they don’t improve your balance, agility, coordination, core strength, or athleticism.

2. Machines make your posture worse.

If you are like most people, you probably spend a lot of time sitting each day. Why work out on a stationary bike, rowing machine, or another kind of fitness machine and spend even more time sitting down?

Use your workout time to make your posture better, not worse.

3. Machines are boring.

Free weights and body weight movements are not only more effective. They are also much more fun than toiling away on a tedious, one-dimensional machine.

Don’t use any fitness machines. Eliminate them 100% from your workout program.

When you focus completely on free weights and body weight movements, you will become stronger from head to toe, your posture will improve, your neck and back will feel better, and you will also have more fun.
