Arlington Sports Conditioning - Pete Leibman

Faster. Stronger. Fitter.

ASC Athlete Profile: Wendy Trickey

Name: Wendy Trickey

Birthday: October 19

Hometown: Philadelphia suburbs

What is your athletic background? Did you play any sports growing up?

I played soccer for 30 years (10-40) and played some sport every season through all my school years (intramurals in college). Along with soccer, I played field hockey, winter track, basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, softball.

When did you attend your first workout with Arlington Sports Conditioning, and how did you first learn about the group?

I learned about ASC through a promotion at my apartment and became a member in fall 2024.

What is your proudest athletic accomplishment, and why?

My friends and I won the floor hockey intramural championship one year in college. We played all the sports, but somehow really clicked in floor hockey. I also was on the team that won the women’s basketball intramural championship in grad school one year. We played the final game in Cameron indoor stadium, which was very cool, but I’m not that proud of it because the game wasn’t a great show of force 🙂

What is your favorite exercise(s)?

I love to jog. To be outside in any weather, and the feeling of being both drained and energized after. The ASC Fast workouts give me a similar feel 🙂

What is your favorite workout song or musical artist?

I’ve never listened to music while working out, but appreciate it at the ASC workouts.

Other than working out, how else do you like to spend your free time?

I love to read, hike, go on casual bike rides, visit contemporary art museums, learn about the history of places, and study Spanish. I consider my three great joys to be: being out in nature; laughing with my kids; and spending time with my boyfriend.

What do you like best about Arlington Sports Conditioning?

I really appreciate having Pete guide me through exercises so that I push myself more than I would on my own, and am getting a more complete workout. I also love that most workouts are outside.

What are the biggest benefits of being a member?

Exercising in ways I wouldn’t on my own, spending time with kind and generous people.

What advice would you offer to new or prospective members of Arlington Sports Conditioning?

Try to get to the snow days at the track – they’re the best!
