Arlington Sports Conditioning - Pete Leibman

Faster. Stronger. Fitter.

ASC Athlete Profile: Tucker Howard

Name: Tucker Howard

Birthday: November 1

Hometown: Fairfield, CT

What is your athletic background? Did you play any sports growing up?

“Growing up I predominantly played basketball, baseball, and volleyball. Now I play volleyball, softball, and am the head coach of the Burke Basketball rising 7th grade boys travel team.”

When did you attend your first workout with Arlington Sports Conditioning, and how did you first learn about the group?

“I attended my first ASC workout in 2019. I first learned about ASC thanks to my friend Mike Clermont.”

What is your proudest athletic accomplishment, and why?

“My proudest athletic achievement is a tie between the following: (1) Completing my 1st Spartan race with ASC. Figuring out the rope climb was quite the rush. I was genuinely worried about how I’d do at the Spartan. Conditions were bananas, it was in the mountains in West Virginia and it flash-flooded right before our heat. (2) Winning 3 beer league championships, 2 volleyball championships, and one softball championships. Winning a championship is difficult and electric.”

What is your favorite exercise(s)?

“I’m a big push-ups guy who also loves to ‘engage his core.’ Frankly I’ll settle for anything that helps me get stronger and faster cause I’m not getting any taller.”

What is your favorite workout song(s) or musical artist(s)?

“My favorite musical artist is Manther. My favorite song is Purple Rain but only when Rich Taylor [another ASC member] gets into character.”

Who is your favorite athlete?

NBA star Kemba Walker

Other than working out, how else do you like to spend your free time?

“I like to spend my free time playing sports and attending sporting events, coaching, community service, hanging out with friends, and going to concerts. Also love a good carpool or shower karaoke session.”

What do you like best about Arlington Sports Conditioning? What are the biggest benefits that you have experienced as a member?

“I love getting stronger and faster while simultaneously perfectly complimenting the work I’m putting in at Golds Gym on my own. The friendships I’ve made and communal aspect of ASC has been a huge added bonus and exceeded my wildest expectations. I’ve also applied some things I’ve learned from Pete to my own coaching style.”

What advice would you offer to new or prospective members of Arlington Sports Conditioning?

“Push yourself physically and put yourself out there socially.”
