Name: Robert “Rob” Prechtl

Hometown: Mechanicsburg, PA

What is your athletic background? Did you play any sports growing up?

I played Little League baseball in grade school, football and track in High School, and rec soccer and flag football in college.

When did you attend your first workout with Arlington Sports Conditioning, and how did you first learn about the group?

My first workout was in August 2025, and I heard about ASC through my friend Michela Boarnet who is also an ASC member.

What is your proudest athletic accomplishment, and why?

Winning a critical heat in high school track that contributed to our team’s win over our rival high school. 

What is your favorite exercise(s)?

I enjoy running, particularly sprints.

What is your favorite workout song or musical artist?

My favorite artist is the British band “Jungle”.  My favorite songs by them are “Busy Earnin” and “Time”.

What is your favorite sports team?

Penn State Football.  I grew up watching them every Saturday with my dad which eventually led to me going to school there.

Who is your favorite athlete?

Cal Ripken Jr.  On the field, I always admired his consistency, having played 2,632 consecutive games.  Off the field, I admire his drive to raise money for research of Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Other than working out, how else do you like to spend your free time?

I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, Nicole, and my dog, Ivy.  I especially love to travel the world and visit new places.  Our favorite place to visit is London.

What do you like best about Arlington Sports Conditioning? 

I appreciate how the ASC community is like being on a team, everyone supports one another as we strive to become more physically fit.

What are the biggest benefits of being a member?

I enjoy the workout structure and getting to know other ASC members.

What advice would you offer to new or prospective members of Arlington Sports Conditioning?

Make time each week to attend workouts and push yourself when you’re there.
