What is your athletic background? Did you play any sports growing up?

“Wrestling, football, tennis, and soccer.”

When did you attend your first workout with Arlington Sports Conditioning, and how did you first learn about the group?

“I believe my first class was in June of 2012.  I moved to Arlington the month before in May of 2012.  I joined the local gym, Gold’s Gym and started going to the group fitness class taught by Pete.”

What is your proudest athletic accomplishment, and why?

“In 2016 finishing Ironman Chattanooga and then finishing Ironman Louisville two weeks later. Since 2010, I have completed 109 races including 5 marathons, 1 ultra (50k), 12 half marathons, 3 full distance Ironman races, 7 half Ironman races, and many shorter distance triathlons and running events.  I guess that I am most proud of being able to set a fitness goal such as doing a longer distance race, sticking to a training plan and completing it.”

What is your favorite exercise(s)?

“Probably biking.  I also enjoy running and swimming. Finding a new trail and going for a trail run is a favorite. I also enjoy strength training.”

What is your favorite workout song or musical artist?

“I can’t say that I have one “favorite,” I have a wide variety depending on my particular mood.  But most times I train without listening to music.”

What is your favorite sports team?

“I’m from Chicago so I follow all of the teams- Bears, White Sox, Bulls, Black Hawks and my alma mater, Loyola Ramblers Basketball.”

Who is your favorite athlete?

“I don’t know if I have one particular favorite.  Dick Butkus, Gale Sayers, Walter Payton.”

Other than working out, how else do you like to spend your free time?

“I off and on play guitar and spend time with friends and family.  Travel.”

“It’s a great workout and also a great group of people.”
