FAQ for ASC

Here are answers to some frequently asked questions about Arlington Sports Conditioning (ASC):

FAQ: When should I arrive for my first workout?

You should arrive 15 minutes early for your first workout. We will give you a rundown of what to expect and help you get settled before we start.

Please arrive early because our workouts start on time. We do not want to turn you away for arriving late.

FAQ: Is there parking near your workout locations?

Yes, there is free or metered parking at all our workout locations.

There is free parking (on the street or in a covered garage) for our ASC Strong workouts at Lubber Run Community Center.

There is free or metered parking for our ASC Fast workouts at Washington-Liberty HS Stadium. Parking is available on the streets near the stadium.

FAQ: What is ASC’s weather policy?

We never cancel workouts due to weather. We have trained in every weather condition you can imagine. It adds variety and builds mental toughness.

However, if it rains during a workout at Lubber Run Community Center, there is a very large overhang that we use and stay dry under. The shade from the overhang also keeps us cool if it’s very hot outside.

If it rains during a workout at W-L Stadium, be prepared to get wet. Rain workouts are fun!

FAQ: When and where are ASC workouts?

ASC offers six group workouts each week:

  • Monday mornings at 6:30-7:30 a.m. (ASC Strong)
  • Monday evenings at 6:00-7:00 p.m. (ASC Strong)
  • Wednesday mornings at 6:30-7:30 a.m. (ASC Fast)
  • Thursday mornings at 6:30-7:30 a.m. (ASC Strong)
  • Thursday evenings at 6:00-7:00 p.m. (ASC Strong)
  • Saturday mornings at 9:00-10:00 a.m. (ASC Fast)

ASC Fast workouts are outdoors all year long at the stadium (turf, track, bleachers) at Washington-Liberty High School.

ASC Strong workouts are outdoors at Lubber Run Community Center from April to October and at a nearby indoor location from November to March.

Any changes to our schedule are noted on Eventbrite.

FAQ: What is the difference between ASC Fast and ASC Strong?

ASC Fast improves your speed, endurance, and athleticism. These workouts include sprints, body weight exercises, and partner/group drills. We usually run bleachers, too.

ASC Strong improves your full-body strength and athleticism. We bring a full gym (dumbbells, kettlebells, battle ropes, etc.) to these workouts.

FAQ: What should I bring to the workouts?

Bring a water bottle and a towel. There are no lockers at our workout locations, so we recommend leaving any valuables at home.

FAQ: What should I wear to the workouts?

Wear athletic clothing that you can move freely in. Check the weather in advance of our outdoor workouts, so you can dress appropriately.

We recommend running sneakers for our ASC Fast workouts and cross-training sneakers for our ASC Strong workouts.
