What is your athletic background? Did you play any sports growing up?
I’ve never been super into sports, but I did play basketball and enjoyed swimming when I was a kid. As an adult, I shifted towards yoga and hiking. Now I love how ASC is helping me to take it to the next level!
When did you attend your first workout with Arlington Sports Conditioning, and how did you first learn about the group?
I officially joined the workout group in 2024 after a Facebook pop-up caught my eye. I saw they offered a trial and thought, why not try it?! And I’m so glad I did; it’s been a total game-changer! Since then, it’s been an incredible journey; every session pushes me to new limits, and the energy is just amazing!
What is your proudest athletic accomplishment, and why?
Exploring and hiking through some incredible national parks. Each experience has challenged me physically and mentally, and I never realized how much I’d love connecting with nature and taking in the beauty around me. Reaching those breathtaking views was unbelievably rewarding and the sense of accomplishment knowing, “I did it!”, made it even better!
What is your favorite exercise(s)?
My go-to exercises are all about core and arms, especially with weights, so the ASC Strong workouts are perfect for me! Lately, I’ve also started enjoying sprints and turf relays on Saturdays. They’re tough and totally push me to my limit, but I love the challenge.
What is your favorite workout song or musical artist?
I love country music and pop, but for workouts, anything with a strong beat and good rhythm that keeps me moving and motivated.
What is your favorite sports team?
I’ll root for any team from the DMV area! Whether it’s football, basketball, hockey, or baseball. I’m also a big fan of the World Cup, and I will always cheer for any South America country first.

All ASC members! 😉
Other than working out, how else do you like to spend your free time?
I love anything outdoors! Hiking, exploring new places and restaurants, road trips, and travel are some of my favorites! I also enjoy visiting wineries, biking, and, lately, getting creative with cooking. Of course, spending time with family, friends, and my dog Vinny is the best way to unwind and enjoy. There’s nothing like a mix of adventure, good food, and great company.
What do you like best about Arlington Sports Conditioning?
What I love most about ASC is the outdoor setting and the incredible vibe! It’s such a friendly, welcoming environment where you can meet new people while pushing yourself through challenging workouts. Being outdoors makes it even more enjoyable, and every session helps you get stronger. This mix keeps me coming back because it feels like so much more than just a ‘gym.’ Honestly, it’s the first time I’ve truly enjoyed working out, and it’s super effective too!
What are the biggest benefits of being a member?
The biggest benefits of being a member are the amazing sense of community and the variety of workouts. You get to challenge yourself with fun, effective sessions while meeting new people and forming friendships.
What advice would you offer to new or prospective members of Arlington Sports Conditioning?
My advice would be to just jump in and give it a try! Don’t be intimidated, everyone is so welcoming, and the workouts are designed to challenge you at your own pace. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced athlete, you’ll find something that pushes you. Be consistent, stay positive, and take full advantage of the community vibe. It’s what makes ASC truly special. And don’t forget to have fun along the way!
