Join us on Saturday, May 31 at 9-10:30 a.m. for an outdoor ASC Fast workout by Arlington Sports Conditioning (ASC) and an injury prevention clinic by Rehab 2 Perform (R2P).
R2P patients and friends can register for free. You may also bring one guest for free ($80 value).
ASC Fast is a group personal training session that improves speed, endurance, and overall athleticism. These workouts include sprints of varying distances, partner/team drills, and body weight exercises. You can usually count on running some bleachers, too.
An injury prevention clinic by R2P will follow the workout. The clinic will include Q&A and discussion about best-practices for reducing pain, preventing injuries, and improving mobility.
This is an event you don’t want to miss!

How Is ASC Different?
Here are five ways that ASC is different:
1. ASC is Arlington’s first and only outdoor/indoor workout program: We primarily train outdoors, although we also offer indoor workouts in the winter.
2. ASC eliminates tedious machines like treadmills, stationary bikes, and rowers: Machines may burn calories, but they don’t improve your athleticism or core strength. We focus on dynamic, athletic movements and functional equipment, such as dumbbells, kettlebells, and battleropes.
3. ASC workouts are led by an athletic, credible expert: You won’t find any junior coaches or rah-rah cheerleaders leading ASC workouts.
4. ASC makes you feel like you are part of a team: All ASC workouts include partner and group drills. You leave each ASC workout feeling like you are part of a team. ASC also organizes special events throughout the year to help members connect with each other.
5. ASC is a small, local business that keeps Arlington clean, green, and healthy: ASC shares its revenue with Arlington County Parks and Rec. By joining ASC, you also support Arlington’s parks, trails, and nature areas, and you keep Arlington clean, green, and healthy.

How ASC Got Started
ASC started in 2012. At the time, ASC Founder Pete Leibman was teaching a weekly Sports Conditioning class for Gold’s Gym in Ballston. The class had become extremely popular, often getting over 100 people per class (photo below).
One summer day, Pete asked the group if they would be interested in doing a workout outdoors. Everyone was interested. Three days later, Pete hosted ASC’s first outdoor workout.
Since then, Pete has led hundreds of outdoor workouts for thousands of people in Arlington.
While most of our members have been with us for years, we are just getting started…
